Shanti Maurice sits on the south coast, where sugar cane runs down to a coastline the developers never crowded. The Nira spa is the point: vast, serious about Ayurveda, with resident practitioners and programmes that go well past pampering. Suites are among the largest entry rooms on the island, the rum shack keeps things human, and the south's wind-clean air and empty beaches do the rest.
