The property

Hillside villas over a private bay

The resort occupies a steep hillside, so the villas are stacked up through the jungle on stilts, each looking down over Petite Anse — a crescent of sand reachable essentially only through the resort. Buggies ferry you up and down. The elevation is the point: the views are extraordinary, and the treetop setting means fruit bats and endemic birds at eye level from the deck. Mahé's location makes it the natural first or last stop in an island-hopping itinerary.
