The second half moves to Malolo and Likuliku, which has the only genuine overwater bures in Fiji, and is adults-only. Nadi, then south to Kadavu
A domestic flight to Kadavu and the Great Astrolabe. The base for this half is chosen with you — Kadavu's dive properties are few and small.
Day 2
The Great Astrolabe
One of the largest barrier reefs in the world, and where Fiji's soft-coral reputation gets tested. Guided, and the pass decides the day.
Day 3
Manta cleaning stations
Roughly May to October the mantas work the stations. Snorkel rather than tank, and the tide sets the hour.
Day 4
Sevusevu
The kava welcome in a village, and the part people remember longest. It is a ceremony rather than a performance, and it happens on their terms.
Day 5
Soft coral
The diving here is why the destination has the reputation it has. Visibility is at its best between July and September.

Helicopter to Malolo
North to the Mamanucas and Likuliku, the only resort in Fiji with genuine overwater bures. Adults only, and the quiet is the product.
Day 7
Straight off the deck
The lagoon is a protected marine sanctuary with resident turtles, and you can snorkel into it from an overwater bure — unusual anywhere in Fiji.
Day 8
Reef restoration
A session with the Likuliku marine team inside the sanctuary.
Day 9
Masima
Lunch on a sandbank offshore, and later the bar on a tiny island in the middle of the lagoon. Both are reached by boat and neither takes long.
Day 10
Fijiana
The kitchen works with local produce rather than around it. Tatadra Spa uses Fijian technique and Fijian ingredients, and the last day is otherwise empty.
Day 11
Boat and helicopter to Nadi
Built with slack in it. Fiji Time is real and mostly a gift.
