   1. Day 1

      Nadi, then Pacific Harbour

      A road transfer down the Coral Coast. Every villa at Nanuku comes with a nanny and a Bure Mama, which changes what the rest of the week can hold.

   2. Day 2

      Beqa Lagoon

      Certified divers go down for the bull sharks; everyone else snorkels it. The boat leaves from the resort rather than an hour up the coast.

   3. Day 3

      The Navua River

      Rafting the gorge, then upriver to a village for the afternoon — the inland half of Fiji that a beach holiday never reaches.

   4. Day 4

      Coral, and a tree

      Plant and tag a fragment on the house reef with the resident marine scientist, then come back in later years and see how it did. Dinner in the branches of a Dilo tree.

   Stop 02 of 02

   Vomo Island Fiji

   Vomo · Mamanuca Islands

   1. Day 5

      Helicopter to Vomo

      Out to the Mamanucas and a private island of thirty-two rooms. All meals are included from here, and Vuda Reef runs fourteen rotating menus, so a week never repeats a dish.

   2. Day 6

      Vomo Hill at sunrise

      A short climb before breakfast for the whole Mamanuca chain. The kids' club opens early enough to make it possible.

   3. Day 7

      The sandbank

      At low tide a strip of sand surfaces off the island. The picnic goes out to it and comes back before the water does.

   4. Day 8

      The house reef

      Some of the best coral in the Mamanucas sits off this island, and snorkelling is what most guests end up doing most. The dive centre is on the island.

   5. Day 9

      The Rocks

      Sunset from the sandy western tip, then dinner on the point. The last full day is deliberately left unscheduled.

1. Day 10

   Boat and road to Nadi

   Fiji Time is real and mostly a gift; the transfer is built with slack in it.
